SOFTOOL manufacturing co., ltd. with good R&D and design capabilities, process production capacities, multiple automatic production lines 

for steel products and advanced CNC machine tool equipment, is capable to undertake the production of cutting tool bodies and has its own brand 

products. In order to adapt to the integration of global resources and minimize the machine tool investment and resource cost, SOFTOOL will 

launch OEM/ODM cooperation with domestic and foreign tool partners to share our rich experience in manufacturing tool body products. 

Through the perfect cooperation of the cutting tool body and inserts, the efficiency can be fully utilized and the customer benefit can be highly

tool body industry, to expedite the industrial upgrades for the tooling companies.

SOFTOOL has rich experience and mature capabilities as follows in the OEM/ODM field:

1. Specific customization capacity：

(1) Insert positioning and design capacity- accurately determine the positioning of supporting surface and the insert contour according to the 

insert entity provided by customers, and then design multiple types of milling tool products.

(2) Tool body shape optimization capacity: According to the tool entity provided by the customer, perform simulation analysis and provide the 

better suggestion for the customer's tool body golden ratio. 

2. Design capability：

(1) Insert pocket design- Based on the rich experience of cutting tools, we design a more reasonable and stable insert pocket 

positioning method for customers according to the insert type, and provide long life of inserts and cutting tools.

(2) Milling cutter angle design- To different insert type and milling cutter type, the inserts’ position angle of design is different. The 

angle design of our milling cutter can make the surface of the work-piece optimized and provide the better life.

(3) Cutter body design - we recommend a more reasonable layout for the customer's cutter head with rich experience in cutting tools.

4. Support capability：With many years of experience in the design and production of special tools, SofTool can provide strong 

support for customers' technical support.

(1) Pre-sale support - Make reasonable suggestions for customers' projection of pre-sale orders. - Recommend optimized proposal 

for customer’s models of OEM orders as reference.

(2) After-sales support- Provide technical support to customers when marketing products. -Provide strong support for product 

upgrades advanced by customers later. (see case)

Case: An ODM customer has an upgrade requirement for the perpendicularity of the square shoulder milling insert.Therefore, it is 

recommended that customers change the original straight insert to spiral insert.

5. Manufacturing capacity：

(1) Machine tool - we all use the advanced five-axis machining center machine tools, relying on the milling cutter production 

line with the participation of manipulators

(2) Process- All adopt the post-fire finishing process, which ensures the precision of the tool products

(3) Scope- The product range covers φ6-φ630mm milling cutter diameter.

(4) Accuracy- product runout can be kept within 0.015 mm, large diameter cutter runout can be controlled within 0.03 mm;

(5) Heat treatment –We have advanced heat treatment equipment to provide controllability for product stability and timely delivery.
